本書從織物與織物組織結構的概念出發，詳細介紹織物組織的分類、各種組織的繪圖方法及其織物上機圖的繪作方法，重點闡述原組織、變化原組織、聯合組織、複雜組織的特徵、構成方法及相關的織物；同時從培養學生的實際能力出發，介紹機織物分析的要求和方法。根據學習織物組織結構的特點，本書在介紹各種組織的構成原理的同時，運用織物組織圖、結構圖和類比圖的方式詳細展示各種織物組織的結構特徵，具有較強的理論性、知識性和實用性。本書可作為高等紡織院校紡織專業教材，也可作為紡織工程技術人員和機織面料設計師的參考用書。
莊勤亮
東華大學紡織學院，教授、博士。長期從事紡織科學與工程學科的教學和科研工作，專長是機織物的成型、結構及其性能。教授紡織專業核心課程“織物組織結構”二十多年，為本科生和研究生(含留學生)開設過雙語課程和全英文課程，被上海市教委授予“織物組織結構”全英文教學示範課程的稱號。同時，在機織物結構與性能關係的研究領域，發表過數十篇研究論文及發明專利。
