The 2020 State of Taiwan's Birds Report is the first comprehensive assessment of the distribution, trends, threats to, and conservation status of the bird species that regularly occur in Taiwan. It is also the product of the efforts of thousands of Taiwanese birdwatchers. This work, as recognition of birds and their ecological needs at the national level, is a significant step towards a more comprehensive approach to the monitoring and conservation of Taiwan's rich biodiversity.
