  In response to reviewer requests for more content on the supply chain, the authors have devoted an entirely new section on the topic (Chapter 13).

  The financial chapters have also been heavily revised in response to instructor needs.

  Knowledge of the ever-changing laws governing today’s business practices is essential. The third edition features new chapter devoted to business law and its influence and impact on business, including important elements of contract law, intellectual property issues, environmental law, consumer protection laws, employment and bankruptcy law, and much more.

  One of the most significant shifts in the business environment since the first edition of Better Business is the explosive growth of social media in all parts of business. The third edition continues to feature social media strategies and technologies in over 85% of its chapters, with significant updates to the technology chapter.

  All of the end-of-chapter materials have been reviewed, and up to 25% of these materials have been modified to include the most recent events and trends in the business environment. The third edition provides instructors with wide-ranging choices for discussion topics, assessment questions, and group activities that cover the most current and timely topics in the business community, such as major economic shifts, changes in technologies, and ever-increasing globalization.

  All time-sensitive material has been updated. Stories and examples from the previous editions that have continued to evolve have been updated
and placed in the most current context, and over 90% of the end-notes were replaced with current references. Timely examples have replaced older material, giving the third edition a more up-to-date feel that resonates with students.

  The “Top Ten” lists have been updated, and new ones added, to reflect current market trends, with a focus on selecting topics that appeal to students.
