Miss Kwan taught at the Chinese Language Centre of the Chinese University of Hong Kong from 1975 to 2004. She is a member of the International Society for Chinese Language Teaching, Beijing, China, and the Chinese Language Teachers Association, U.S.A.
Miss Kwan co-authored the Cantonese-English Dictionary, Textbooks for Cantonese and authored the book Old Testament Bible Stories, published by the Chinese Language Centre, the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She also authored the articles “Several Points on Teaching a Second Language” and “Language Environment and Language Teaching“, published by Beijing Institute of Language, China.
