Architecture, art and design have shaped the world we live in and provide us with a chronical of the times in which they were created. From ancient monuments to whistling kettles, from Renaissance masters to graffiti artists, and from the Colosseum to the Beijing Bird’s Nest, this book presents facts in a clear and accessible way.
This book covers major works of architecture, sculpture, paintings, graphic design, furniture and other product designs for each period in art and design history. The best examples from each era are illustrated together with their famous creators, alongside timelines that track the evolution of the artistic disciplines throughout history.
Compact with vivid photographs of art, readers will get a better understanding of the evolution of architecture, art and design, starting from the earliest periods of ancient civilisations to that of early 21st century.
